MachinimUWA V: ALL 51 Works, Grand Finale & Audience Participation Event


MachinimUWA V: Seek Wisdom, is heading towards its finale! 51 entries (all listed below, and all linked on AViewTV) have come in from around the world, including Melbourne (Australia), Rome (Italy), Monterey (USA), Rotterdam (Netherlands),  Dallas (USA), Rochester (USA), Gelsenkirchen (Germany), Costa Rica, Bombay (India), Pondicherry  (India), Alaska (USA), Cambridge (England), London (England), Berklee (USA), Paris (France), Corvallis (USA), Toronto (Canada), Santa Ana, CA (USA), Gdansk (Poland), New York (USA), Oslo (Norway), Phoenix, AZ (USA), Lybster (Scotland), San Fransisco (USA), Seattle (USA), Barcelona (Spain), Colfax WA (USA), Ottawa (Canada), Tacoma (USA), Berkeley CA (USA), Naples (Italy), Ohio (USA), New Orleans (USA), Brighton (England) and Lancaster MA (USA).

More than L$785,000 (approx USD 3,400) will be distributed to Machinima Winners at the winners announcements from 6am SLT, Sunday 5th August 2012. This will be held in conjunction with the winners announcements of the Grand Finale of the UWA Centenary 3D Art Challenge.

L$20,000 has been set aside for viewers who take part in a special participation event. We are asking everyone to watch the submissions and give us your TOP 10 machinima, in order of your preference (email
jayjayaustralia@hotmail.com OR list them on a notecard to Jayjay Zifanwe - please put your name on the title of the notecard with the words MachinimUWA V Audience Event).

The 3 participants whose order comes closest to the final order decided by the judging panel (as below), will win for themselves L$10,000, L$6,000 and L$4,000 each. The first prize winner will also be invited to be on the panel for MachinimUWA VI and ALL 3 will receive in the mail a special pack that includes a copy of the book,
'100 Treasures of UWA' which was produced for UWA's Centenary.
